RMB 2.2 Billion Capital Mobilized! Zhejiang Humanoid RobotInnovation Center Secures RMB 450 Million in Funding

Recently, Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation CenterCo., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZhejiangHumanoid") announced the completion of a RMB 450 millionPre-A funding round (approximately $62 million),bringing its total capital raised over the past year and a half to RMB2.2 billion (approximately $303 million).

Investors in this round include scenario andindustrial capital players such as Supcon Technology, CMVentures, Lenovo Capital, Fengyuan Capital, Ningbo Industrial Internet ResearchInstitute, Geek+ Technology, and Zhichang Technology; government-backedindustrial capital including Zhejiang Venture Capital Group,Ningbo Financial Holdings Group, Haifa Holdings Group, Yuexiu Industrial Fund,and Ningbo Talent Group; as well as market-oriented fundssuch as Fangguang Capital.

The funding will be used for tackling and iteratingcore technologies, recruiting and developing professionaltalent, scaling up product mass production, and deepexpansion into multi-industry scenarios.

In December 2023, a team led by Chief ScientistProfessor Xiong Rong partnered with several renowned industry partnersto co-found Zhejiang Humanoid. The company focuses on breakthroughsin key embodied intelligence technologies and robot productdevelopment, establishing its goal from inception: to create robotsthat truly "can work and can be deployed across multiplescenarios." The company's core technological advantagelies in its "generalizable precision operation capability"—meaningrobots possess both high-precision manipulation abilities and scenarioadaptive capabilities.

Zhejiang Humanoid is deeply engaged in full-scalegeneral-purpose humanoid robot R&D. By matching human dimensions,degrees of freedom, and dexterity, the robots can adapt to human workenvironments such as factories, shopping malls, and homes,using existing tools to complete actual tasks.

The company has launched the "NavigatorNAVIAI" humanoid robot product family, which includes the firstprototype with bipedal walking and basic operation capabilities, NAVIAI-I2—China'sfirst full-scale, full-DOF (degrees of freedom), fully functional bipedal robot—theNAVIAI-WA1 ultra-precision wheel-arm robot with 0.03mmprecision, and NAVIAI-I3, a multi-terrainbipedal robot designed for outdoor inspection.

Currently, Zhejiang Humanoid has pioneered globallyin achieving batch deployment of humanoid robots in actual factories,generating direct economic benefits. The company hasestablished deep R&D-to-production collaboration with the world'slargest automotive OEM manufacturer, where robots stably executecritical processes such as precision assembly of multiple front axlecomponents.
