The humanoid robotics sector has welcomed another major financing round.
Recently, X-Humanoid (Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center) officially announced the completion of its first market-driven financing round exceeding RMB 700 million (approximately $96 million). The funding round brought together numerous prominent investment institutions including the Beijing AI Industry Investment Fund, Yizhuang State-owned Investment, Beijing High-Precision Fund, and Huakong Fund, and secured strategic investments from industry players including Baidu and Dongtu Technologies.
This financing marks X-Humanoid's formal entry into a new phase where market-oriented operations and industrial deployment run in parallel, while continuing to deepen technological R&D.
According to reports, X-Humanoid (Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center) was founded in 2023, co-initiated by Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Electric Company (JCME), UBTECH, Yizhuang Robotics, Shoucheng Capital, and others, committed to building a world-class embodied intelligence robotics innovation platform. In October 2024, X-Humanoid was designated as the "National-Local Co-built Embodied Intelligence Robot Innovation Center," further establishing its important position in China's national science and technology innovation system.
In terms of technological breakthroughs, X-Humanoid has repeatedly set milestones. In April 2025, X-Humanoid's Tien-Kung Ultra autonomously completed a 21.0975-kilometer half-marathon in 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds, claiming the title of the world's first humanoid robot half-marathon champion.
In August of the same year, at the World Humanoid Robot Games, X-Humanoid's self-developed Tien-Kung Ultra and Tianyi 2.0 robots achieved an outstanding performance of 2 golds, 6 silvers, and 2 bronzes. In the 100-meter sprint final, Tien-Kung Ultra won the championship with a fully autonomous running time of 21.50 seconds, becoming history's first humanoid robot 100-meter "speedster." Equipped with the "Huisi Kaiwu" platform, Tianyi 2.0 demonstrated powerful versatility and autonomous capabilities, sweeping both first and second place in the material sorting competition.
These achievements not only showcase X-Humanoid's leading capabilities in embodied intelligence technologies including motion control, environmental perception, and autonomous decision-making, but also lay a solid technical foundation for its applications in complex scenarios. X-Humanoid has built mature and replicable solutions around core sectors including special operations, industrial manufacturing, and commercial services.
According to official video account previews, X-Humanoid's Tien-Kung 3.0 is also set to be released soon.
Currently, X-Humanoid has established deep strategic partnerships with leading enterprises including the China Electric Power Research Institute, Foton Cummins, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, and Li-Ning Group, accelerating the deployment of embodied intelligence applications to genuinely serve production and daily life.
The proceeds from this funding round will be primarily invested in the technological iteration and scaled promotion of the two core platforms—"Tien-Kung" and "Huisi Kaiwu"—further driving the evolution of embodied intelligence robots toward being "fully autonomous and more practical."
X-Humanoid will use this financing as a new starting point, continuing to focus on tackling key technologies and scenario-based applications, and with an open and collaborative approach, will join forces with upstream and downstream partners across the industrial chain to collectively establish a sustainable embodied intelligence robotics innovation ecosystem, injecting innovation momentum into China's technological self-reliance and high-quality development.
