Recently, GalBot announced the completion of a new financing round of RMB 2.5 billion (approximately $345 million). Investors include the National AI Industry Investment Fund, Sinopec, CITIC Investment Holdings, BOC Asset Management, SAIC Financial Holdings, SMIC Capital, Yizhuang State-owned Investment, Kunpeng Fund, Wuxi Venture Capital, Fujian Industrial Investment, and Chengdu Science and Innovation Investment, among others, with multiple existing shareholders continuing to increase their investments.

Following this round, GalBot's cumulative financing firmly holds the top position in China's embodied intelligence sector, continuing to consolidate its leading status as the highest-valued unlisted company in the humanoid robot field.

GalBot has chosen to redefine the track with "embodied large models," constructing the world's largest hundred-billion-scale embodied intelligence dataset and pioneering the data infrastructure "AstraSynth," forming a significant leading advantage in data—this core production factor.

The company's self-developed "AstraBrain" is the world's first end-to-end embodied large model integrating "cerebrum-cerebellum-neural control" into a single whole-body, whole-hand model, achieving generational leadership over traditional pathways in technical architecture.

On the Year of the Horse Spring Festival Gala stage, AstraBrain's capabilities were validated to the extreme. Whether it's fingertip force control while rotating walnuts or real-time deformation adaptation when folding clothes with flexible objects, AstraBrain can instantly perceive, adapt, and adjust—behind this is the model's deep understanding of physical world interaction principles.

GalBot was founded by Dr. Wang He, a Researcher at Peking University and Boya Young Scholar. Dr. Wang He graduated from Stanford University, where he studied under Professor Leonidas J. Guibas, an international luminary in computer vision, and is one of the world's earliest scholars to conduct research on end-to-end embodied large models. After returning to China, he established China's first academic laboratory dedicated to embodied intelligence, deeply cultivating fundamental technology research for over a decade, laying a solid foundation for GalBot's technological originality.

The core team brings together AI and robotics experts from top-tier universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Stanford, and Beihang University. The team has formed complete coverage across the full technology stack of "cerebrum-cerebellum-platform," possessing both academic excellence and industry experience.

GalBot has taken the lead in establishing an industrialization closed loop of "high-quality datasets + end-to-end large models + large-scale applications," achieving deep deployment in real scenarios including industry, retail, and healthcare, transforming technical advantages into productivity advantages.

In the industrial manufacturing sector, GalBot has secured deep partnerships with global leading customers including CATL, Bosch Germany, Toyota Motor, BAIC Group, and SAIC Motor, with cumulative orders reaching thousands of units.

The team's industry-first industrial heavy-duty robot Galbot S1 has achieved fully autonomous operations in the complex industrial scenarios of CATL's battery factories, withstanding rigorous testing under real working conditions, and is the only humanoid robot achieving normalized operations at CATL to date. Notably, GalBot is also CATL's only investment in the embodied intelligence sector thus far.

This funding round brought together numerous leading industrial and strategic investors, further opening new diversified application spaces for GalBot in sectors including energy, manufacturing, and real estate.

Prior to this round, GalBot's investor matrix already included national-level funds and state-owned enterprise industrial capital such as China Network Investment, China Development Bank, China Mobile Industrial Chain Fund, CICC Capital, and CCTV Financial Media Fund.

Following this round, GalBot will continue to focus on building globally leading embodied intelligence large models, using this as the core to advance more landmark project deployments, accelerating embodied intelligence toward scaled productivity.
